The Moore Police Department is thanking the public after they said community members and vigilant off-duty officers led them to a person of interest in connection with a ‘disturbing incident’ at Crest Foods.
A woman told News 9 while she was shopping with her daughters Sunday night, she came across human feces in the frozen foods section of the store.
"I was in a state of shock, like I can't believe this is actually happening," Shirley Wright-Johnson said.
Wright-Johnson notified store management and police were called.
Store surveillance video identified a person of interest.
Wednesday, police said the man was arrested and booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on unrelated complaints. Authorities later determined the same man was allegedly involved in the grocery store incident.
The man’s name was not released.
Police have not yet said what charges the man could face.
