OCDC Reports Inmate Death At Local Hospital

The Oklahoma County Detention Center said one of its inmates died Tuesday night.

The inmate was identified as 61-year-old Leo Alexander Destea. He had been hospitalized for health-related issues since Aug. 30.

Detention center officials said Wednesday that Destea was booked into the jail July 27. Destea's family has been notified of his death.

The state medical examiner will determine Destea's cause of death.
