A nice cool start to the day, but we will see hot conditions this afternoon. The airmass across Oklahoma is fairly dry, so no major heat index to worry about.
We are monitoring the Gulf Mexico where Tropical Storm Nicholas is churning up the Texas coast. This storm will bring damaging winds and flooding rains to Texas and portions of Louisiana.
For Oklahoma, a few of the outer bands will make it into the southeast. Storm chances go up this afternoon and evening in the southeast.
After sunset today, we could see a few showers here in the OKC Metro, but chances are pretty slim.
