Former OU Tennis Captain Battling Cancer Set To Be Honored By School’s Athletic Department

The University of Oklahoma’s men’s tennis program is planning to dedicate a tennis court in honor of a former team captain now entering hospice care.

Mason Bridegan, who was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the bile duct called cholangiocarcinoma, began treatment last year. However, family members said the treatment has stopped working as the cancer continues to grow.

A GoFundMe fundraiser for Bridegan’s medical fund benefit has generated more than $50,000 to date.
