A local community is left in shock after a man is shot dead in Harrah. It happened Saturday afternoon and now investigators are working to track down the shooter.
"It broke my heart," said Rachael, a neighbor. "I was in tears, shaking."
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office says they were first alerted of the incident around 3:30 p.m. Saturday at a home near East Reno and Harrah Road. When investigators got to the scene, they found a man who had been shot.
"I keep replaying in my head if I've noticed anything out of the ordinary or different and nothing was out of the ordinary to me," said Rachael.
Rachael has lived on this street for 10 years now and says it's always been quiet. She lives next door from where the shooting happened and says her neighbors were always friendly.
"They're very sweet," said Rachael. "Wonderful people, they helped us out multiple times through the 10 years that we lived here."
Investigators were on scene for several hours piecing together the evidence. Right now, it's still unclear what led up to the shooting and who exactly was involved. Police say no arrests have been made and there is no suspect description.
Rachael says she just hopes justice can be brought to the family.
"I don't know if I can wrap my brain around it," Rachael said.
Investigators have not identified the man killed at this time. If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call the police.
