Be prepared for another dangerously hot afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny with a south breeze at 10 to 15 mph. Highs will climb into the upper 90s and low 100s.
The humidity will be slightly higher today and the heat index will reflect that. Look for feel like temperatures from 100 to 110 degrees.
After today, the heat dome slowly relaxes and could even open up a window for a tropical cyclone early next week.
Right now, we are monitoring a system over the southern Caribbean. This could become a named storm as it moves into the Gulf. Still too far out to determine its exact track along the Gulf coast.
