Move-in is underway for new students at the University of Oklahoma.

Cars lined up to start the major transition into residential dormitories.

This semester there are no mask requirements in the dorms or classrooms.

To track new cases, students will have access to a health-check application on their phones.

But the message from OU is clear, no mandates.

"You make sure everyone has the opportunity to be vaccinated. Now we look at the other protocols we need to take to make sure the classroom is safe," OU President Joseph Harroz said.

"Make sure everyone has had the vaccine. If you are indoors, please wear a mask," said Dr. Dale Bratzler with OU Health.

CDC data shows the college-age group is the lowest share of the country's vaccinated population.

OU does not require vaccines, but they are trying to make access to them easy.

Starting Tuesday, they will host a vaccine clinic at the dorms followed by two straight weeks of clinics on campus offering all three vaccine brands.

Classes begin August 23.
