2 Teenagers Detained In Connection With Northeast OKC Homicide

Oklahoma City police said two teenagers have been detained in connection with a northeast Oklahoma City homicide earlier this week.

Authorities said 15-year-old Marquavious Gatlin and 14-year-old Elijah Godwin are currently being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

At this time, no formal complaints or charges have been filed against Gatlin or Godwin.

Authorities said Wednesday that they found Tasha Martinez-Garcia, 39, at a residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

The shooting happened south of the intersection of North Lottie Avenue and Northeast 12th Street just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said life-saving measures were taken to save Martinez-Garcia, but she died at the scene.
