A Skiatook teenager can't see and can't walk after a tubing accident on Skiatook Lake.

15-year-old Kaylee Johansen said she has a concussion, but doctors aren't really sure what else is going on. She is hoping this is temporary, and she is relying on her faith and the support of others to get her through.

Johansen was tubing on Skiatook Lake for a family lake day when she fell off the tube and hit her head on the water.

"We were just going straight, and it was almost like so random how I fell but it was just like a gust of wind hit me, and I just remember falling pretty hard," she said.

Johansen said she was still conscious, but couldn't open her eyes, or see and was in a lot of pain - and still is. She also shakes uncontrollably now.

"It is kind of a mystery of what's going on right now, it doesn't make a lot of sense to a lot of people," Johansen said.

Johansen said the doctors say they don't see anything abnormal in her brain, or any spinal cord injuries. She's just hoping they can figure out something, so she can work on getting better.

"It's kind of scary, I don't really know what's up and hoping to find answers, mostly with what's going on with my shaking and my eyes,” Johansen said.

While this is a scary situation, she's focusing on not worrying and having hope that she will get better.

"I always believe that God has a plan, and that when we come to earth, we are meant to have challenges," she said.

In the midst of this scary challenge, Johansen knows she's not alone. She said the love and support from friends and strangers has been incredible.

"I mean there's people I don't really even know that well and they are just saying we're praying for you Kaylee, and we're praying that it gets better, and it just shows, God's work is working," Johansen said.

Johansen said she was wearing a life jacket. She believes it saved her life, and without wearing one there could have been a different outcome.
