The Claremore Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the city’s economic development team to put on a job fair to help fill several open positions in Rogers County. The chamber said more than 350 jobs need to be filled across many different sectors.

Ashley May, a spokesperson for the Claremore Chamber of Commerce, said 36 different companies from across the county are expected to take part. The different job areas include manufacturing, healthcare, education, restaurants and retail.

May said there will even be a spot to do private interviews on-site. Many of the businesses taking part will be offering incentives for anyone who may be looking for a job.

“A lot of our businesses, both large and small, are struggling to even keep their doors open at this point or can’t have their full hours covered because they just don’t have the employees,” said May. “Workforce is a serious need here in Rogers County and we really want to do the job fair so we can help out with that.”

The job fair will take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Claremore Expo Center.
