Tulsa police said a man is recovering in a hospital after being stabbed five times during a fight with his girlfriend. Police said officers were called to an apartment complex along Riverside Drive around 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Investigators said an argument broke out between a 25-year-old woman and her boyfriend who is in his early-50s. It is unclear what started the argument but the girlfriend told police the man started to get physical, including punching her.
Tulsa Police said she then stabbed the man five times. They said the man has been taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the woman spoke with them about the situation.
“She was taken into custody and is now transported downtown where our detectives have been called in to do an interview with her,” said Captain Jerrod Hart, Tulsa Police.
It is unclear if the woman will be arrested or charged with anything. The names of the individuals involved have not been released.
