A shirtless man was caught on camera on top of a car after a wreck in Oklahoma City.

The crash happened in the Oklahoma City metro, at Northwest 23rd Street and Portland Avenue.

Police said the suspect, identified as Caleb Moore, tried to start a fight with firefighters as they arrived on scene.

It happened just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday July 7, 2021.

“Officers were responding to a vehicle collision in the intersection of NE 23rd and Portland,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk with OCPD.

A witness captured cell phone video of Moore on top of his white SUV after running a red light and causing a crash.

“Multiple witnesses were calling and stating that one of the drivers was being attended to by medical and fire personnel,” said Quirk.

The police report said Moore removed his shirt before “trying to fight the firefighters.” Officers said he kept arguing with first responders while standing on the SUV.

“He was looking very belligerent and aggressive, taking a belligerent stance and attempting to have a physical altercation with fire and medical personnel,” said Quirk.

Police on scene gave commands from below. Officers said he was talking quickly and in incoherent sentences.

At one point, Moore thanked them for checking on him and said he was OK, and they could let him go.

“We took the subject into custody he had an odor of intoxicant on his breath and person,” said Quirk.

The police report also stated the officer on scene thought Moore was on “methamphetamines in addition to being under the influence of alcohol.”

Police finally made contact with Moore and held him up against the wrecked car. When he tried to get away, officers tackled him to the ground.

“He was ultimately arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center,” said Quirk.

Moore was taken to a hospital to get medically cleared before being booked into jail.
