The Tulsa County Board of Commissioners will vote Monday morning on whether or not to move around bond funds for other various bridge projects within the county.

There are two bridges in Tulsa County that could potentially be on their way to getting replaced if the resolutions for funding are passed today.

This initiative is all part of the “Vision 2025 Renewal for Tulsa County” project that began back in 2003 with the promise of a penny tax on all county residents. Since then, the project has made improvements in areas of infrastructure, parks, and Expo Square. Monday morning, the Board of Commissioners will vote on whether or not to approve funding for the replacement of two bridges. They are Horsepen Creek Bridge and Posey Creek Bridge.

This is not new funding, the agenda says they would simply be relocating funds from another project that was completed under budget to instead be made useful in these two bridges. There is no word on when the construction would begin and end on these two projects if they were to pass, but we will continue to update the story as we get more information.
