Black Wall Street Legacy Festival To Host Premiere Of Documentary ‘Fruit’

Tulsa will be the site of a premiere for a "thought-provoking" documentary this June.

The premiere of a new documentary titled “Fruit” will be hosted in Tulsa this June.

The Black Wall Street Legacy Festival announced Tuesday they will host the premiere as a continuation of the Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial commemoration.

The documentary, which showcases how the power of mentoring can shift the narrative of a young Black man, will premiere on Friday, June 11 at 6 p.m.

After the screening, the director, Ricardo Bates, and executive producer, Anthony Brock – also the co-authors of the book the film is based upon – will lead a panel to discuss the film.

The premiere, in honored of Keith Miller, is hosted by the Terence Crutcher Foundation, 100 Black Men, 36th Street Event Center, the Black Wall Street Times and the Black Wall Street Legacy Festival.

The screening will be held at 36th Street North Event Center in Tulsa.
