The Osage Nation will invest $400,000 converting a former Tulsa airpark into a port for drones.

The Osage News reported that the new "port" will be at the former Downtown Airpark, which is now known as Skyway 3 located neat near 36th Street North and Osage Drive.

The tribal money, along with more than $2-million in federal grants, will pay to renovate a hanger at the airpark.

The facility will enable the Osage Nation to develop and test potential uses for drones.
