OKCPS News Program To Recruit Special Education Teachers
A new Oklahoma City Public Schools program is aiming to recruit more special education teachers in a non-traditional way.
The program is called Special Education Boot Camp and it gives candidates 30 hours of hands-on training before getting their certification.
OCPD Urges Residents To Register Alarms
Oklahoma City has some new rules when it comes to home and business alarms. The Oklahoma City Police Department wants to reduce the number of false alarms officers respond to.
Residents have until May 30 to re-register or get a new, valid permit.
New alarm permits are $27. Under the new ordinance, the first three false alarms are free, but the 4th and 5th are billed. The 6th false alarm will revoke a permit, until it is reinstated for $17.

OCCHD To Host Vaccine Pod At John Marshall High School
The Oklahoma City-County Health Department will be at John Marshall High School from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday for a Pfizer vaccine pod.
While many spots have been filled, there are still appointments available.

Big 12 Softball Championship Held This Weekend In OKC
The 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship will take place Friday and Saturday at USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City.
The top six teams will compete in a combination of pool play format (Friday) and bracket play (Saturday).
