Tulsa Organization To Begin Accepting Applications For Those In Need Of Air Conditioners

The Tulsa Weather Coalition will begin accepting applications Saturday to help people who need an air conditioner this summer.

You do have to meet a few requirements to qualify for an air-conditioner:

· No other air-conditioner in the home

· Live in Tulsa County

· Enrolled in a public assistance program or meet low-income guidelines

· Have a qualifying medical condition that becomes life-threatening in extreme heat and can be verified by a doctor’s statement

· Limited ability to get to a cooler place during the hottest part of the day

·     OR no other air conditioner and over the age of 65
