1 Detained After Vehicle Stalls On I-40 In SE OKC Which Caused A Traffic Backup

A man is in custody Thursday after a vehicle stalled out on Interstate 40 in southeast Oklahoma City.

The vehicle had front-end damage and stopped on the eastbound lanes of the interstate between Sunnyland and Sooner roads.

Oklahoma City firefighters and paramedics were at the scene with the man while law officers tired to make their way to the stalled vehicle.

Traffic was blocked for about an hour on the interstate.

Troopers arrived on the scene and handcuffed the man.

It is unclear why the man was placed in custody.
