Officials in California are warning residents to get ready for extreme weather and wildfires this summer.
A report from the state's Wildfire Research Center at San Jose State University said vegetation is already drier than it should be.
A researcher tweeted that the conditions created a scary outlook for the season.
Governor Gavin Newsom signed an aggressive bill, with the state now spending $36 million on fire prevention this year.
