Tulsa police say a teenager is recovering after being shot in the leg at the South Haven Manor apartments near I-44 and 33rd West Avenue on Wednesday night.
Police said it all started after the victim showed up at the place where his baby and baby's mother both live, but was not able not see them because they were not there.
According to police, the father of the young mom told officers the victim was not happy that the two were not at the residence and refused to leave, so he eventually shot him in the leg.
The suspect told police that the victim was harassing other family members inside the household.
According to police, the victim went home after the altercation where officers say they first responded.
Police describe the victim's injury as non-life-threatening.
"We do have the suspect that actually shot the victim in custody I don't have his name he's about his mid-40s to late 40s," said Capt. Jerrod Hart from the Tulsa Police Department.
Police have not yet identified the suspect or the victim involved.
