Ahead Of The Storm: Brandon & Sammy

Whether it’s winter’s worst of spring storms, Brandon and Sammy are Yin and Yang.

Brandon said, “I’ve been ready for spring since last spring ended.”

They had been chasing separately for years before joining forces in 2015.

Sammy said, “He kind of took me under his arm and said ‘Come on. You’re coming with me’ and that was history.”

This is their second year working for News 9.

Brandon said, “The thing I like, the best of it, is the friendships I’ve been able to make between Hank, Val and Tom. Of course I’ve known Jeromy for a long time.”

Brandon, who lives in Moore, said ultimately it was a personal experience that brought him here.

He said, “Watching the 2013 tornado go through your hometown. It changes you a little bit. It changes your perspective. I never wanted to chase for the media. It was never a thought that I considered but started to take it a lot more seriously then.”

He added, “Not only is it my family that I’m trying to protect, but hundreds of thousands of other families at the same time.”
