Oklahoma County Sheriff Vehicle Crashes Amidst Suspect Pursuit

A suspect is in custody after a late-night pursuit Monday with two law enforcement agencies.

It began when Nicoma Park police arrived on scene of an alleged robbery. As officers arrived, a suspect then fled the scene.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office joined Nicoma Park in the pursuit, but one of the county's vehicles crashed on Interstate 40 near the Oklahoma and Pottawatomie County lines.

The OCSO performed a tactical vehicle maneuver to stop the suspect's vehicle. As the vehicle stopped, the suspect was able to flee on foot.

Speeds during the pursuit reached more than 100 miles per hour.
