We are continuing to salute the men and women who served our country.
On Feb. 18, we're recognizing Army National Guard veteran Vicki Jones.
Maj. Vicki Jones was the first female helicopter pilot in the Oklahoma Army National Guard when she graduated from the Army Rotary Flight School back in 1982.
She retired as a Senior Army Aviator in 2007.
Vicki has been actively involved with groups such as Women in Military Service to America and the Patriot Guard Riders.
She is a member of the Guthrie American Legion.
She was even selected the Oklahoma Woman Veteran of the year in 2011.
She was also selected by the Quapaw Nation of Oklahoma for inclusion into the Native American Museum in OKC.
The Quapaw Nation also dedicated a Vicki Glass Jones Day in her honor.
Thank you, Vicki, for your service.
