Residents at a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex have been evacuated after pipes burst and flooded several units early Monday morning.

According to authorities, the pipes burst at the Cross Timber Apartments near Southwest 104th Street and South May Avenue.

Firefighters said the pipe that burst was a part of the sprinkler system.

Residents had to keep warm in their cars until firefighters found housing for them.
