The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a driver died after a two-vehicle collision in Kay County.

The accident happened on Interstate 35 northbound just south of Braman on mile marker 225.

OHP said two vehicles traveled northbound on I-35 when one of them lost control, departed the roadway and struck a bridge railing.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Chevin Webb, continued spinning before coming to rest in the roadway.

The driver of the other vehicle was unable to stop, striking Webb's vehicle and killing him. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The Blackwell Fire Department had to extricate Webb from his vehicle.

Considering the snow on the ground, OHP determined that both drivers were "driving too fast for road conditions."

Troopers diverted traffic to the exit at mile marker 222.

The accident shut the portion of the interstate down for more than two hours before reopening around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
