Walmart and Sam’s Clubs pharmacies across Oklahoma will start administering the COVID-19 Vaccine Friday.

If you're eligible to get the vaccine through the state that means you can get the shot at the stores and you do not have to be a Sam's club member.

The company is part of the federal pharmacy relief program and is only offering the Moderna vaccine.

The doses have been strategically distributed to 43 locations across the state to most efficiently serve Oklahoma.

The company told News 9 each store received about 200 doses, but that number could change every week depending on direction from the federal government.

"Obviously we hope to receive it every week but as allocation and supply becomes more available we can up the allocation as the federal government gives more supply out," said Shannon Griggs, the Oklahoma market health and wellness director.

If you get your shot at a Walmart or Sam's club, getting your second dose appointment is simple.

"They will actually schedule their second appointment before they leave the facility so they will know when their second dose is coming," said Griggs.

You can register for the vaccine here and view the full list of stores offering the shots here.
