Black History Month: Dr. George Henderson, OU's First Black Dean

Doctor George Henderson made history not only at the University of Oklahoma but in the city of Norman itself. Dr. Henderson became the third full-time Black faculty member at ou in 1967. He was the first Black professor with a distinguished professorship, and then became the first Black dean of a degree issuing college. Henderson and his wife Barbara were also the first Black couple to buy a house in Norman.
