OG&E Makes Preparations For Winter Weather

OG&E said it is keeping an eye on the evolving threat of winter weather.

The company said they are not expecting any real impact due to this winter system. However, they will monitor the situation 24/7.

Customers can sign up for alerts online through their account. They can send alerts via email or text message.

"From my OG alerts, they can get updat4es through email, text, etc.," David Kimmel.

While Kimmel says he is not concerned about the weather impacting power directly. He does say accidents due to road conditions could lead to outages.

"One of the things that can affect our systems is cars driving and hitting electric poles and taking the power out," said Kimmel.
