A 16-year-old boy died in a crash Thursday evening near Hammon, troopers said.
The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday on Oklahoma Highway 33 about six miles west of Hammon in Roger Mills County.
The 16-year-old from Cheyenne was driving eastbound on OK-33 when he hit a deer which caused his vehicle to hit a tractor-trailer driving westbound.
The teenager was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Troopers did not identify the boy in their report, but Hammon Public Schools' sports Facebook page identified him as Michael Land.
Land was a basketball player for Hammon High School.
