The assistant police chief in Hydro is in jail Friday after he was arrested by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The OSBI served a search warrant for 35-year-old Tyler Wesley Davis and arrested him Thursday. Davis is accused of child sexual exploitation.

Davis' charges include three counts of first-degree rape, three counts of rape by instrumentation, three counts of distribution of obscene or indecent writings/pictures, two counts of forcible sodomy and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

According to the OSBI, a social media platform reported a user uploading sexually explicit files of a pre-pubescent girl to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children who then notified the OSBI when it was discovered the user's internet provider address was traced to Oklahoma.

Internet Crimes Against Children agents with the OSBI arrested Davis and booked him into the Grady County Jail.

No bond has been set at this time.
