IMMY Labs Becomes Large Scale Vaccination POD For Eligible Recipients

As more vaccine makes it way to the Sooner State more places will open up to help distribute them.

One of the most recent PODs that has popped up is IMMY Labs, which is based out of Norman.

So far IMMY Labs has vaccinated roughly 2,500 people in a couple of days. They plan to double that total Friday. The Vice President of Sales and Marketing for IMMY said he believes that doing lots of testing helped them to be able to do large scale vaccinations.

"We've been doing a lot with testing over the last 8 to 10 months,” said JT Harrison, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for IMMY.

Their vaccine supply comes from the state.

"Our team is trying to stay in connection with them looking out maybe a week ahead and saying here is what we are planning to do. Here's what we are capable of doing,” said Harrison.

People eligible for a vaccine with IMMY are the same as with the state. Health care workers, first responders and those 65 and older.

“It’s our own separate portal,” said Harrison. “It isn’t the same as the state's."

IMMY Labs also has its method for second dose appointments.

"Our system automatically schedules you for your second dose or booster,” said Harrison. “So, you don't have to try and get back in and sign up for the second dose. We automatically do that on the same page."

IMMY labs gets supply of the Pfizer vaccine so booster appointments are scheduled 21 days after the first dose.

Right now, Harrison said they have been able to hold their POD at the Embassy Suites in Norman. He said they have helped play a crucial role in the race to vaccinate.
