Police said a man was shot in the face during a carjacking Thursday morning in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to authorities, the victim was robbed at gunpoint near Southwest 66th Street and South Blackwelder Avenue.
Police said the bullet went through the victim's cheek.
Oklahoma City police say the victim was picking up a co-worker from work when he noticed a car park behind him.
“At least two people got out of that vehicle and tried to climb into his vehicle and steal it,” Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.
The victim was taken to OU Medical Center and has since been released.
“The suspects made off in his vehicle and the one they drove up in,” Knight said.
