The comeback for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane never quite materialized Wednesday night against Wichita State, but it’s not for lack of effort.

Going on the road to face a solid Wichita State team, TU never lead and never seemed to click the way we’ve seen Head Coach Frank Haith’s team do so this season. Wichita State sweeps TU on the season with a 72-53 victory Wednesday night.

A bright spot on amid the loss was Darien Jackson, bring a burst of energy along with his 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Tulsa only shot 14.3% from the three-point line and just 33.8% from the field. Free throws, however, were at 100%.

Tulsa will host Memphis on Sunday, Jan. 17 as they move to 4-2 in the American conference.
