Authorities responded to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident in southwest Oklahoma City.
The collision was reported near the intersection of South Western Avenue and Southwest 36th Street.
Oklahoma City fire, police and EMSA arrived on the scene just after 6 p.m. on Saturday night.
OCPD performed CPR on the male pedestrian who, police said, was attempting to cross the street. He was later transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
Following the accident, the driver who hit the pedestrian remained at the scene and answered questions from responding officers.
All lanes south of the intersection at Western Avenue are currently blocked.
