2 Taken To Hospital Following Officer-Involved Crash On NE 23rd St.

Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after an officer-involved crash on Northeast 23rd Street near North Bartel Road.

According to authorities, an officer was t-boned by a red vehicle when trying to get back on the road after arresting someone on the side of NE 23rd St.

Police said there were no serious injuries, but the suspect in the police unit and the driver of the red car were taken to the hospital.

Both sides of NE 23rd Street are currently shut down.
