Oklahoma City Fire Department Civilian Employee Dies

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is mourning the death of civilian employee Robert Saudia. The 45-year-old Support Service Specialist died Monday, December 28 in his home in south Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is mourning the death of civilian employee Robert Saudia.

The 45-year-old Support Service Specialist died Monday, December 28 in his home in south Oklahoma City.

Saudia worked with for the Oklahoma City Fire Department for two years in the Fire Information Technology (F.I.T.) work section, officials said.

In a media release the department said:

In his time with the department, Robert endeared himself to everyone he worked with or encountered. His optimist work ethic and his desire to always provide the best service possible will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his son, Mason, and the rest of his family and friends.

Fire officials said Saudia had COVID, but the cause of death is undetermined at this time.
