University of Oklahoma College of Nursing and Pharmacy students are helping administer the COVID-19 vaccine.

One student, Abi Scott, said she has already given around 100 vaccines and according to Scott, she is happy to do it so nurses can put their focus elsewhere.

"At this point, vaccination is our role to play we don't need those nurses administering these vaccines when we have pharmacists who can do it," said Scott. "They need to be in the hospital, in the hospital beds, in the units themselves."

Scott said there has been a great response and people that have received the vaccine have been excited Scott added that taking part is a memory she will share for decades to come.
