A man accused in a homicide near Jones has been detained, Oklahoma City police said Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect was on the run Tuesday morning and was caught near Highway 177 and Route 66 by Oklahoma City police and U.S. Marshals.
According to authorities, Terry Shaffer is wanted in connection with a homicide that took place Monday night on Henney Road between the Turner Turnpike and Memorial Road.
Police say Shaffer was driving a champagne colored 2007 Chevy Silverado with black running boards and the tag number EAN924.
Shaffer was taken to a local hospital to be checked out for non-life-threatening injuries he suffered after police used force to detain him, police said.
