One man was killed and two men were critically injured in a shooting Saturday evening in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

Police were called shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday in reference to multiple people being shot.

Alfredo Vera, 24, was found dead in a home in the 9700 block of High Noon Road near Britton and Sara roads.

Investigators said 34-year-old Johnathan Gonzalez-Leal, 24-year-old Patrick Allen Matthews, Vera and his girlfriend were inside the home together. Matthews is accused of shooting Gonzalez-Leal.

Vera reportedly tried to help Gonzalez-Leal when he was shot.

Vera's girlfriend was on the phone with 911 during the second shooting and ran away from the house, police said.

When officers arrived, Matthews shot himself at the front door of the home, investigators said.

Gonzalez-Leal was found and taken to a local hospital in critical condition but is considered stable.

Matthews will be jailed in connection with the shootings after he is released from the hospital.
