One local organization is planning to hold a virtual workshop in hopes of helping grieving people through the holidays.

The virtual workshop will be held Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. by the organization a Chance to Change.

The organization says dealing with loss this time of year can be a major struggle, whether it's from job loss, divorce, or even dealing with the death of a loved one.

During the workshop, therapist Chris Taylor will help people explore that grief, and look for different ways to find meaning during the holidays.

The therapist says this year, everything is different. With COVID-19, anyone going through seasonal grief may have it even harder.

“The healing we often get, that good feeling we get coming together this time of year - we are missing out on,” said Taylor. “This is an opportunity to see family, maybe friends we haven’t seen in years.”
