Payne Co. Election Board Strikes Signatures From Stillwater City Council Recall Petitions

The Payne County Election Board has struck signatures from the Stillwater city council recall petitions.

According to city officials, the election board reported that 16 signatures were struck from four of the recall petitions and 17 from the petition calling for the recall of Mayor Will Joyce.

Each petition needs 416 valid signatures. The signers must be residents of Stillwater and registered in City of Stillwater elections, according to city officials.

Organizers of the petitions will have 10 days to appeal.
