Woman Killed In Head-On Crash, 2-Year-Old Out Of Hospital

Two people are fighting for their lives the hospital and two others are hurt after a car crash in Bixby. This happened near 181st Street South and Harvard.

BIXBY, Okla. -

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a woman has died after a head-on crash.

OHP said the woman who was killed is 31-year old Chelsea Pugh. Troopers said she was driving along 181st Street South when a driver going in the opposite direction decided to pass in a no-passing zone. They said the two cars crashed head-on.

Troopers said Pugh had a two-year-old girl in the car with her, and that toddler is out of the hospital tonight. The driver of the other car was Courtney Lawson. She had an 11-year-old boy in her vehicle. Both of them are still in the hospital.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said this is an area where people often drive too fast and recklessly.

"And then to see something like this happen, after we work this road so hard, it's disheartening, not to mention the grief these families are going to go through a month before Christmas. This is a worst-case scenario for us," Trooper Mark Southall said.

OHP said they are still investigating the crash, but said charges could be filed.
