Stephanie Flynn said before COVID-19, she had big plans to offer more one-on-one coaching for her clients, but she had to make some hard choices about her business.

Flynn owned "Fit Body Boot Camp" for ten years but decided the CDC recommendations during the pandemic was a burden for her clients and staff, so she closed her business in October.

"Coming in and having to cover their faces and not able to breath when working out, I would not recommend that,” Flynn said.

Some of the CDC recommendations for gyms and fitness centers include assigning social distancing coaches to ensure proper spacing, clean and disinfect exercise equipment and tools between patrons, remove hard-to-clean items and equipment, limit locker room access to the restroom area only, and open sections of the facility in phases.

Morgan Alward used to be a former member of "Fit Body Boot Camp” and said you just can't beat working out inside a gym.  Alward said in her two years of fitness, she lost more than hundred pounds.

"I feel it's what helped push me past breaking points,” Alaward said.

Flynn said she had been training with clients online since March in hopes of keeping them, but she stopped doing that about two weeks ago.

Flynn said COVID-19 may have taken her business, but it hasn't taken her passion to motivate others to live healthier.

“It's bittersweet because I know over the past ten years, we have helped thousands of women,” Flynn said.

Flynn hopes to continue motivate her former clients and others through her Facebook page here.
