Across Oklahoma City people are trying to take advantage of those deals this Black Friday.

At the GameStop off North Pennsylvania Avenue and West Memorial Road, shoppers waited in long lines for the new console releases. One man News 9 talked to started waiting line Thursday afternoon.

There are many stores that are taking extra precaution this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including places like Target, Walmart and Best Buy.

This includes limiting the amount of people inside, requiring face mask at all times, contactless self checkouts and pre-trip shopping reservations.

There will be increased efforts to sanitize shopping carts as customers go through the stores as well.
