106.9 K-Hits To Launch Chubbs vs. Kacy Challenge

106.9 K-Hits is teaming up with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and Jim Glover Auto Family to raise money for Food for Kids through a one-week, outside-the-box fundraising challenge.

Starting Monday, November 30, K-Hits listeners will decide with their donations which of the two morning show hosts, Chubbs or Kacy, will have to complete crazy, slightly painful or somewhat embarrassing challenges live during the 4 p.m. newscasts on News On 6 that week.

“Chubbs and Kacy are not only funny on the air, but they have giant hearts and love to use their talent to help their community,” said Steve Hunter, Griffin Radio Director of Operations. “When they heard about the opportunity to help the Food Bank, they jumped at it. They are both very competitive, so this will be a fun competition to watch!”

One in 4 children is at risk of going to bed hungry in Oklahoma. The current COVID-19 pandemic is moving that number to nearly 1 in 3. The Chubbs vs. Kacy challenge is part of our commitment to ending childhood hunger in our state.

“Being a parent, I can’t imagine not being able to put a meal on the table every night,” said Kacy, co-host of The Chubbs & Kacy Show. “So that’s why we’re willing to do ANYTHING to fight hunger for our neighbors in Green Country,” added Chubbs, Kacy’s co-host and radio personality behind the Free Chubbs fundraising challenge in 2019.
