Oklahoma City Police are searching for the driver of a car that crashed into Lake Hefner overnight Tuesday.
According to authorities, the search is happening near Lake Hefner Drive and North Meridian Avenue.
Police said a 20-year-old man and his sister were driving in the car when they crashed into the lake.
The sister told police they were both able to escape from the vehicle before it sank.
"She said she was in the water for an extend period of time. Lost sight of her brother and eventually was able to make it to shore," said Lt. Isaac Goodman.
The 16-year-old was taken to OU Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police located the vehicle but are still searching for driver.
