Sand Springs Police Identify 2 Who Died After Collision Between Motorcycle, Car

Sand Springs Police said two people have died after a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Sand Springs.

UPDATE: Police have identified the two victims as 21-year-old Mitchell Raymond Overton and 20-year-old Kennedy Alexis Behm.

Sand Springs Police said two people have died after a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Sand Springs.

Chief Mike Carter said a motorcycle heading eastbound on 41st street struck a car turning out of Teal Ridge road. Police said the motorcycle caught fire in the collision. Police said both individuals on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene after the collision.

Sand Springs Police said the driver of the sedan is 56-year-old Ernest William Steagall Jr. and he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Police said the accident is still under investigation.
