A man was killed Monday night after being hit by two vehicles in Bethany, police said.

Police were called to NW 30th Street and Rockwell Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found William Thompson, 63, of Bethany, had been hit by two vehicles.

The first vehicle left the scene but the second vehicle stayed to talk to police.

Thompson died from his injuries, police said.

About six hours after the incident, a man called Oklahoma City police in reference to possibly hitting a dog in the same area in Bethany.

Bethany police found a white pickup and the vehicle had body damage consistent with the fatality crash.

James Roy, 73, was arrested Tuesday on a complaint of leaving the scene of a fatality accident. Roy was booked into the Oklahoma County jail.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bethany police at 405-789-2323.
