A new mini-series tells the story of Oklahoma soldiers serving in World War II.
“The Liberator” focuses on members of the 45th Infantry Division from their time in training at Fort Sill before the war all the way through Europe.
The hybrid live-action animation show features numerous Native Americans as well as soldiers from Tulsa and other parts of Oklahoma. It shows how the “Thunderbirds” fought through Italy, France and Germany and ends with the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp.
The series is available now on Netflix.
