Veteran Salute: 'The Best Job I Ever Had'

Every day at 4 p.m., we take a moment to salute an Oklahoman who has served our country.

On this Veterans Day, a veteran member of our News 9 family has shared with us a poem.

The memories of his service are both inspiring and heartbreaking.

This is "The Best Job I Ever Had" and it's read by News 9's Kelly Ogle.

That poem was written Alex Alejandro, a proud Navy veteran, who now works with us here at News 9.

He is just one of our several amazing veterans, without whom we would not be able to bring you the news every day.

We'd like to take a moment to recognize their service.

And to all of our Oklahoma veterans and their families, thank you for your service and sacrifice.
